This notice describes the current public website at mafiaislandlodges.com. The project FAQ chat runs locally in your browser. We do not operate an advertising tracker, visitor analytics script or newsletter sign-up on this website.

1. Who to contact

2. Website delivery and technical data

The website is hosted through OpenAI ChatGPT Sites and delivered using Cloudflare infrastructure. When you visit, the hosting and network providers necessarily receive technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, request time and security/error information. This is used to deliver the website, maintain availability, prevent abuse and troubleshoot faults.

Where the GDPR applies, the basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure, functioning website (Article 6(1)(f)). The providers may process technical information in different countries. We do not promise exclusive EU hosting. Their applicable hosting, data-processing and international-transfer terms govern provider processing. You can contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your request.

3. Project FAQ chat

The chat provides pre-written answers selected in your browser. It is not a live human chat or an AI service. Questions typed there are not sent to our server, OpenAI or an AI API. The website does not store the conversation in cookies or local storage. Its temporary display state is lost when the page is reloaded or closed. Ordinary technical requests for loading the website still occur as described above.

4. Contact by email or telephone

Email links open your own email application; no message is sent merely by clicking a link. If you contact us, we process your contact details, message and correspondence to answer your enquiry, arrange a conversation or take steps you request before a potential contract. Please do not send identity documents, payment-card details or sensitive information through an initial enquiry.

Our email is provided through Fastmail. Your own email/telephone providers may also process your communication. Where the GDPR applies, the basis is Article 6(1)(b) for requested pre-contractual steps or Article 6(1)(f) for responding to other enquiries. See Fastmail's privacy information.

5. Retention

We retain correspondence for as long as necessary to deal with the enquiry and any resulting business relationship, taking account of applicable record-keeping duties and the need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. When no such purpose remains, it should be deleted. Technical hosting and security information is retained by the providers according to their applicable service and security policies; this website does not set a separate fixed log-retention period.

6. Videos, maps, social links and cookies

YouTube videos and Google Maps do not load automatically. They are ordinary external links. If you follow one, you leave this website and that provider processes your visit under its own terms; the same applies to Instagram and other external links. External media may use cookies on the destination website. Our own page code does not set analytics, advertising or chat cookies and does not use local storage. Hosting providers may use essential security technologies as part of delivering the service.

7. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. You may also complain to your competent data protection supervisory authority. Contact the email address above to exercise your rights. We may need reasonable information to confirm your identity.

We do not use this website to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, or to profile visitors for advertising. Providing enquiry information is voluntary, but we need a way to contact you to respond.

8. Updates

We will update this notice if the site's processing changes, for example if a free-text AI chat, booking form, newsletter or analytics service is introduced.
